Good local fish I started using Rye Bay Fish when I moved to the area and have been very pleased with the quality of the fish and the knowledgeable service. They are happy to advise on which fish to choose and how to cook it and have lots of special offers which save money. They always ask whether you want your fish filleted or prepared in any way and even prepare squid without complaining (which is not true of all fishmongers!). Over all I feel it is an extremely good shop and one that I go to regularly.

First rate fish shop The fish I buy here is always of the highest quality. There is always a good selection and you can buy local seasonal fish at a really reasonable price. The staff are very helpful preparing the fish and offering advice without being patronising. My only regret is that there aren't more fish shops like this around.

A rare gem, a genuine wet fish shop...not a restaurant! This establishment is top class, don't compare their fish with supermarket offerings, there is no comparison. We bought a large piece of Loch Duart Salmon here recently, it isn't cheap but it's fairly priced for the quality - it tasted absolutely delicious. If you're looking for fresh fish you've found it; making a fish pie? No problem, they sell good fish pie mix too. A big plus, you can park outside with no hassle from the gestapo. All this with no nonsense good service, and advice if you want it. Money well spent.

A good fish shop! This is not a restaurant but a fish shop with an excellent selection of fresh fish, some of which is caught locally and some imported from other parts of the UK. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and happy to advise you on how to cook the fish when you return home. I recommend the halibut!
